Car boot sale and plant market in Cézac, a blend of flea market and horticulture in Haute Gironde
The Greniers Fleuris de Cézac is an original event that combines the tradition of the car boot sale with a horticultural market. Every year at the end of May, the Comité des Fêtes de Cézac invites individuals to clear out their attics and nurserymen to present their finest plants. This unique formula in Haute Gironde attracts flea market enthusiasts as much as gardening lovers.
Cézac is a commune of about 2,700 inhabitants located north of the Bordeaux agglomeration, in the canton of Saint-André-de-Cubzac. The village stretches across a hilly territory dotted with vineyards and groves, offering a typical landscape of Haute Gironde. The Comité des Fêtes organizes several events throughout the year, with the Greniers Fleuris being one of the highlights of the spring calendar.
The originality of Les Greniers Fleuris lies in the marriage of treasure hunting and plants. Visitors can find second-hand items, small furniture, clothing, and trinkets at the car boot sale stalls, then continue their stroll among the stands of horticulturists and nurserymen offering perennial plants, shrubs, seasonal flowers, and vegetable plants. Refreshments and catering provided by volunteers complete this friendly outdoor day.
