Founded in 1838 in Troisfontaines, near Sarrebourg, the Vallérysthal crystalworks is one of the oldest in Lorraine. For over a century, it produced finely crafted crystal and glass pieces, contributing to the renown of Lorraine's glassmaking expertise alongside the Baccarat, Saint-Louis, and Daum crystalworks. This ephemeral sale helps fund a project to relaunch the earthenware factory, whose building has been completely renovated.
Sarrebourg, a sub-prefecture of Moselle, is a city of art renowned for its cultural heritage, notably the famous stained glass window by Marc Chagall in the Cordeliers chapel. The presence of this ephemeral boutique is in line with the artisanal and artistic tradition of the city and its region.
