Every year at the end of June, the town of Jassans-Riottier organizes its traditional Fête du Bord de Saône, of which the flea market is one of the highlights. The event takes place along the Avenue de la Plage and the Chemin de Halage, offering a bucolic and pleasant setting on the riverbank.
Around 200 exhibitors set up on the banks of the Saône to offer furniture, trinkets, tableware, clothing, books, and collectibles. The diversity of stalls and the large number of vendors make this flea market one of the largest in the Val de Saône in the Ain region. Bargain hunters come from all over the department and the neighboring Lyon urban area.
The flea market is part of the larger Fête du Bord de Saône, which also offers entertainment, music, and a catering area. The atmosphere is festive and family-friendly, with a stroll along the water and the search for good deals.
A standard pitch is 5 linear meters for 20 euros, with a minimum depth of 4 meters. Registration is done online with a deadline in early June. Exhibitors' vehicles must be in place before 9 am.
