The Association de Modélisme du Piémont Vosgien organizes an expo-fair in Badonviller dedicated to miniature trains and railway modeling. This event, held at the Espace Mansuy, brings together about fifty exhibitors from all over Lorraine and beyond to offer locomotives, wagons, accessories, dioramas, and modeling material in all scales. It is the unmissable event for miniature railway enthusiasts in eastern France.
Badonviller is a small commune in Meurthe-et-Moselle located at the foot of the Vosges massif, in the Lorraine piedmont. This privileged geographical location, between plain and mountain, inspired the name of the organizing association. The village, which has an industrial history linked to earthenware and eyewear manufacturing, offers a peaceful and welcoming setting for this event. The commune preserves a rich architectural and memorial heritage, particularly related to the two world wars.
The Espace Mansuy, a multi-purpose hall in Badonviller located on Rue de l'Abbé Mansuy, hosts exhibitors and their working miniature railway layouts. Visitors can admire models of all scales, from HO to N, including O, with detailed dioramas reproducing realistic railway landscapes. It is also an opportunity to buy, sell, or exchange modeling material, spare parts, and specialized books on railways.
The expo-fair is aimed at confirmed collectors as well as beginners and families. Children are particularly fascinated by the working layouts and the trains running through carefully recreated miniature scenery. A snack bar and a drinks stand allow visitors to eat and drink on site throughout the day, and coffee is offered to exhibitors to start the day well from their arrival at 7 am.
