The Authie Toy Fair: a family event in March

Each year in March, the Association des Parents d'Élèves d'Authie organizes its toy and childcare fair at the salle Altha Villa, a large community space located place des 37 Canadiens. This event has become a must for families in the Caen area who want to equip their children at a lower cost while promoting reuse.

Authie, a residential town on the outskirts of Caen

Located a few kilometers northwest of Caen, Authie is a residential commune in Calvados that is part of the urban community of Caen la Mer. Its name is closely linked to the history of the Second World War: the place des 37 Canadiens commemorates the sacrifice of Canadian soldiers during the Battle of Normandy in June 1944. The commune today offers a pleasant family living environment, with schools, green spaces, and a dynamic associative life.

A wide selection for families

The exhibitors, mainly individuals, offer a varied assortment of items: toys of all kinds (board games, figurines, plush toys, educational games), children's clothing of all ages, strollers, car seats, travel cots, bouncers, and all the necessary equipment for babies and young children. The prices allow families to make significant savings compared to buying new.

A friendly event to support the school

The funds raised by the APE through this fair are used to finance school trips, educational activities, and projects for the Authie school. The refreshment stand and cake sale, run by association volunteers, add a delicious touch to this day. Exhibitor registration is done via the HelloAsso platform.

Practical information

The fair takes place from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Altha Villa hall, place des 37 Canadiens. Admission is free for visitors. Refreshments and food available on site.
