Boismé is a commune of nearly 1,200 inhabitants located eight kilometres southeast of Bressuire. The village boasts discreet but charming heritage: the Seigneurie de Poiron, a medieval site mentioned as early as the 13th century, reveals its architectural past with a tower, chapel, high gable and mullioned windows. The sunken lanes and bocage hedgerows surrounding the village invite leisurely strolls.
