Every July 14th, the medieval city of Domfront-en-Poiraie comes alive with its traditional braderie-flea market. Exhibitors set up from rue du Maréchal Foch to place Saint-Julien, offering bargain hunters a unique treasure hunting route at the foot of the ramparts and historic streets of this former Norman stronghold.
Domfront-en-Poiraie is a commune in the Orne known for its remarkable medieval heritage. Perched on a rocky spur overlooking the Varenne valley, the city preserves the ruins of its 11th-century keep, its ramparts and the church of Notre-Dame-sur-l'Eau, a jewel of Norman Romanesque art.
UCAID organizes this event which contributes to the town's summer entertainment. Over a hundred sellers, both private and professional, offer their wares while refreshments and catering keep visitors comfortable throughout the day.
