The Autumn Flea Market of Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire is the autumn counterpart to the famous spring flea market. Every year on the 3rd Sunday of September, the Esplanade de Plaisance once again hosts over 300 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, for a day of treasure hunting in the gentle atmosphere of the Charente late season. This event is one of the largest flea markets in the south of the Charente department.

A rich and varied offering for bargain hunters

From 7 am to 7 pm, the alleys of the Esplanade offer a huge choice of items: antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, vintage clothing, toys, books, tools, vinyl records, and curiosities from all eras. The autumn flea market benefits from excellent attendance, with visitors taking advantage of the mild September weather to stroll between the stalls under the trees of the Esplanade.

Food and conviviality

A food area offers fries, sausages, merguez, and sandwiches. The unique feature of this autumn edition is the possibility of having lunch indoors, offering appreciated comfort in case of uncertain weather. A bar is available to visitors throughout the day. Exhibitors can set up from Saturday afternoon at 3 pm by reservation, facilitating logistics for vendors coming from afar.

Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire is a small town of character in the south of Charente, dominated by its imposing medieval castle rebuilt in the 15th century, which now houses a listed Italian-style theater.
