Artist Studio Clear-out of Brou: Art at Studio Prices

Every summer, the LECAP association (Loisirs Ensemble(s) Culture Art et Patrimoine) transforms the historic Halles de Brou into an art space open to all. For three days in July, about thirty professional artists present works from their reserves to the public: preparatory sketches, drawings, screen prints, watercolors, prints, paintings, sculptures, photographs… Works that no longer correspond to their current market, but which hold significant artistic value, offered at very attractive prices.

A Unique Concept in Eure-et-Loir

The Artist Studio Clear-out of Brou is a singular event in the cultural landscape of Eure-et-Loir. Where ordinary flea markets offer everyday objects and second-hand furniture, here each exhibitor is a professional artist who shares their creative universe with the general public. It's a rare opportunity to interact directly with the creators, understand their artistic process, and take home an authentic work at a price inaccessible in galleries.

The LECAP association, based in Brou at Passage Bisson, has carefully managed this event since its first edition. In 2025, the 13th edition hosted around thirty artists under the Halles from July 18th to 20th. The 14th edition is planned for the summer of 2026.

Brou, a Town in Perche dunois

Brou is a commune of some 3,700 inhabitants located on the borders of Perche and Beauce, in the arrondissement of Châteaudun. A traditional market town, it retains beautiful architectural heritage with its medieval wooden market halls, its Saint-Lubin church, and its preserved town center. The LECAP association has been developing an ambitious cultural program there for several years, with the studio clear-out being the summer highlight.

The event is also part of the Estiv'halles program, which animates the Halles de Brou from July to the end of August with various cultural and social events.

In 2026: Three Days Under the Halles in July

The Artist Studio Clear-out of Brou 2026 will take place in July, under the medieval Halles de Brou. Entry is free for visitors, and the works offered cover all mediums: painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, watercolor, drawing.
