Car boot sale organized by the APEL parents' association of Saint-Joseph school in Ossun, supporting the students
The APEL of Saint-Joseph school in Ossun organizes an annual car boot sale whose profits are entirely devoted to funding the school's educational projects: school outings, discovery trips, educational material purchases and cultural activities. Families and teachers come together to make this day a friendly and unifying moment, reflecting the community spirit that characterizes Catholic schools in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
Ossun is a commune of nearly 2,400 inhabitants located about ten kilometers southwest of Tarbes, within the Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées urban community. Its name derives from the Gascon word 'Aüssu' (bear), an animal that appears on the commune's coat of arms, recalling its Gascon origins and values of courage and strength. The village has a railway station offering connections to Bayonne, Bordeaux, Tarbes and Pau. Its territory of 27.6 km² offers a varied landscape between agricultural plain and panoramic views of the Pyrenean chain.
