Annual 8th May car boot sale near Saint-René church in Hillion, 140 exhibitors
The Saint-René Festival Committee organizes a large car boot sale every May 8th near the Saint-René church in Hillion, in the coastal municipality of the bay of Saint-Brieuc. The event brings together around 140 private exhibitors offering second-hand items and bric-a-brac from 7 am to 7 pm. Entry is free for visitors.
Every 8th May, Victory Day 1945, the Saint-René Festival Committee organizes a large car boot sale in the Rue des Vergers, near the Saint-René church in Hillion. This spring event is one of the most important in the Saint-Brieuc area, attracting around 140 private exhibitors and a crowd of bargain hunters.
Stalls line the Rue des Vergers and the areas around the church, offering a wide variety of second-hand items: clothing, toys, crockery, books, small furniture, knick-knacks, and tools. The car boot sale, reserved for private individuals, offers attractive prices and the friendly atmosphere typical of such popular events.
Hillion is a municipality of 4,200 inhabitants located at the bottom of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, 10 km east of the prefecture. The town is known for its Nature Reserve of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, a major site for observing migratory birds. The car boot sale is a pleasant opportunity to discover this town between land and sea.
The exhibitor fee is 5.50 euros for 1.50 meters (one table). Setup begins at 7 am. For reservations and information, contact the Saint-René Festival Committee.
