Spring flea market at the Ailly-sur-Noye lake
The Ailly-sur-Noye Plan d'eau réderie sets up on the shores of the municipal leisure base on Sunday 3 May 2026. Organised by the Buvette du plan d'eau association, this spring flea market in a green setting offers bargain hunters a unique natural backdrop. Between copses, lake and lawns, exhibitors lay out their treasures in a relaxed atmosphere typical of the great Picard réderies of southern Somme.
Big Somme réderies usually take over village streets or town squares. The Ailly-sur-Noye event has chosen a different, particularly pleasant setting: the town's lake, a popular leisure spot in the Santerre amiénois. On Sunday 3 May 2026, exhibitors set up on the lawns bordering the water, turning bargain hunting into a Sunday stroll.
The event is run by the Buvette du plan d'eau, a local association that manages the site's refreshment kiosk. Exhibitor registration goes through buvetteduplandeau.e-monsite.com. This grassroots organisation ensures a friendly atmosphere free of commercial pressure. The proceeds from stalls and refreshments go to the site's upkeep and events.
Sellers, mostly locals from Ailly and nearby villages (Berny-sur-Noye, Chaussoy-Epagny, Cottenchy, Rouvrel), offer the classic réderie mix: clothes, toys, books, records, tableware, small furniture, trinkets, tools, baby equipment, decorative items. A few semi-professional dealers round out with collectibles and restored furniture.
Ailly-sur-Noye is a lively town 20 km south of Amiens in the Noye valley. A canton seat, it has schools, secondary schools, shops, a library and a railway station on the Amiens-Compiègne line. Its lake is popular for summer swimming, fishing and family walks. The town is also known for its castle and historic heritage.
The lakeside réderie formula is perfect for family outings. Kids run on the lawns, play near the water under supervision, while parents browse at their own pace. The buvette offers drinks, sandwiches, chips and hot meals, with tables for lunch. The train station allows car-free arrival from Amiens.
