44th Great summer fair of Muids on the banks of the Seine, around 200 exhibitors
Muids is a village nestled on the banks of the Seine, in the north of the Eure, between Les Andelys and Louviers. Every summer for over four decades, this postcard-like Norman village has organized its great summer fair, which has become one of the unmissable flea market events in Haute-Normandie. The 44th edition, held in August, continues this popular tradition which faithfully brings together some 200 exhibitors on the riverbank.
The fair takes over the streets and spaces of the village of Muids, offering bargain hunters the pleasure of strolling among the stalls while enjoying the magnificent setting on the banks of the Seine. The exhibitors - mostly individuals from the region - offer the full range of Norman flea market goods: country furniture, antique tableware, farm and kitchen objects, linens, books, toys, and collectibles. The August fair benefits from the summer crowds and attracts both passing holidaymakers and local bargain hunters.
Muids is one of those authentic Norman villages that tourists seek and rarely find. Its half-timbered houses, its banks of the Seine, and its green meadows make it a place of tranquility and natural beauty. Midway between Les Andelys - city of Richard the Lionheart and Nicolas Poussin - and Louviers, Muids is well-placed to receive visitors from all over the region. Its August fair is the perfect opportunity to discover the village.
The 44th Grande Foire à tout de Muids is held in August, from 7 am to 6 pm. Free admission. Refreshments and food available on site. Parking in the village.
