37th edition of the fair dedicated to stamp, coin, postcard, comic and antique collectors
With a long tradition dating back to the late 1980s, the Craponne Collectors' Fair is one of the oldest philatelic and numismatic events in western Lyon. For its 37th edition, on Sunday 12 April 2026, collectors and specialist dealers gather to swap, buy and sell their rare pieces: old and contemporary stamps, French and foreign coins, vintage postcards, period comic books, books, medals and all kinds of collectibles. A reference fair for enthusiasts from across the region.
Craponne is a first-ring suburb on the western side of Lyon, nestled in the foothills of the Monts du Lyonnais. Nationally known as the birthplace of Adam de Craponne, the 16th-century engineer who designed the famous Craponne Canal in Provence, the town has a strong identity and a vibrant cultural and associative life. The Collectors' Fair has contributed for nearly four decades to the vitality of this commercial and residential town, easily accessible from Lyon.
Craponne is accessible from Lyon via the D342 or the western ring road. TCL bus lines connect the town to central Lyon and Gorge-de-Loup metro station.
