The Easter Monday Car Boot Sale by ASPTT Basket

For over thirty years, the basket section of ASPTT Grand Périgueux has organized a large car boot sale and flea market on Easter Monday around the Céline-Dumerc Gymnasium, boulevard Jean-Moulin in Coulounieix-Chamiers. This event has become one of the major gatherings of the season for bargain hunters in the Périgueux area and neighboring departments.

A Regional Event

The ASPTT Basket car boot sale attracts many exhibitors and visitors each year. Stands are set up from 6 am on boulevard Jean-Moulin and rue Jesse Owens, near the municipal gymnasium. A varied assortment of second-hand items can be found: clothing, crockery, toys, books, trinkets, small furniture, and decorative objects. Prior registration for exhibitors is mandatory, at a rate of €10 for 4 meters.

The Céline-Dumerc Gymnasium

The gymnasium is named after Céline Dumerc, a famous French basketball player from the region, Olympic champion, and an iconic figure in French women's basketball. This municipal sports site offers an ideal setting for organizing the car boot sale, with sufficient paved space and easy access from Périgueux.

The basketball club volunteers ensure refreshments and food are available on site, in a family and sporting atmosphere. Exhibitors' vehicles can remain at the stand.
