Issou's Everything Fair turns 30

Thirty years is no small feat for a community-run event. The Issou Everything Fair, held each year at the end of May by the village festival committee, celebrates its thirtieth edition in 2026. Its longevity testifies to how attached residents are to their major annual fair, which has become one of the region's unmissable spring gatherings.

An exceptional setting: the Château Park

What sets Issou's fair apart from many neighbouring flea markets is its setting. The event unfolds in the alleys and lawns of the Château Park, a generous green space at the heart of the village that comfortably welcomes sellers and visitors alike. Majestic trees provide shade on sunny May days, while the park's layout encourages leisurely browsing.

What you'll find

Like any good everything fair, Issou's mixes residents clearing out cellars, attics and garages with occasional antique dealers who add an old-world touch. You can pick up toys, books, crockery, clothes, small furniture, kitchenware, records, trinkets for a few euros, and sometimes genuine finds: antique furniture, paintings, vintage lamps or collectibles. The range is wide and surprises come to those who take their time.

Issou, a village on the Seine

A commune in western Yvelines between Meulan-en-Yvelines and Limay, Issou is home to nearly 3,500 residents, tucked in a bend of the Seine a few kilometres from Mantes-la-Jolie. Its château was rebuilt in the 19th century and its landscaped park is now the village's green lung and the backdrop of the annual fair.

A friendly village atmosphere

Issou's Everything Fair remains above all a village event, organised by and for the residents. A refreshment stand, on-site catering and festival committee entertainment punctuate the day. Families gather, children wander between stalls, seasoned hunters spot rare items, and neighbours chat over coffee. For its thirtieth edition in 2026, an especially large turnout is expected.
