A quarter century of bargain hunting in Thal-Marmoutier

The Thal-Marmoutier Flea Market celebrates its 25th edition in 2026, an anniversary that testifies to the vitality and perseverance of the ASC Brotsch football section, the event's historic organiser. For a quarter of a century, the football club's volunteers have mobilised players, parents and supporters to welcome exhibitors and visitors in a sporting and convivial atmosphere. This flea market has become one of the unmissable summer events in the Marmoutier area.

200 exhibitors and a treasure trove

With up to 200 private exhibitors, the Thal-Marmoutier flea market is one of the largest in the Saverne-Marmoutier district. The stalls spread through the village, offering an impressive diversity of items: adult and children's clothing, shoes, toys from all eras (soft toys, figurines, board games, dolls, Lego, Playmobil), books (novels, comics, children's books, encyclopedias), CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, video games, decorative trinkets, crockery, glassware, small furniture, household linen, childcare items, sports equipment, DIY and gardening tools, bicycles and scooters.

Thal-Marmoutier and the Marmoutier area

Thal-Marmoutier is a commune of around 800 inhabitants located in the Marmoutier area, a few kilometres from the famous Marmoutier Abbey and about ten kilometres from Saverne. The village lies in the Brotsch valley, at the foot of the first hills of the Vosges foothills. It is a rural and peaceful area, surrounded by orchards, meadows and forests, which retains an authentic character. The ASC Brotsch, the local football club, brings together sportspeople from Thal-Marmoutier and neighbouring communes, and its flea market is one of the flagship events of local associative life.
