The annual meeting of Cordes collectors
Every spring, the Cordes-sur-Ciel sports hall becomes a collectors' paradise. For its 19th edition, the All-Collections Fair gathers about 35 specialist exhibitors: coins, old postcards, stamps, miniatures, vintage toys, books and old papers. Organised by the Cordes Collectors' Association at the foot of one of France's finest medieval bastides.
For almost two decades, the All-Collections Fair of Cordes-sur-Ciel has become a major rendezvous for collectors in the Albigeois and northern Tarn. Organised by the Cordes Collectors' Association, it brings together a passionate community of regular exhibitors and loyal visitors at the foot of the medieval bastide.
Usually around 35 exhibitors specialising in a wide range of fields: numismatics (French and foreign coins, banknotes), philately (used and mint stamps, covers), postcards (especially Tarn and South-West France), toy cars, vintage toys, figurines, rare books and old papers, posters, records, pins. The ideal place to find a rare piece, complete a series or discover a new collecting universe.
The main attraction is of course Cordes-sur-Ciel itself. Founded in 1222 by the Count of Toulouse, this bastide perched on a rocky outcrop is listed among France's Most Beautiful Villages and was voted the French People's Favourite Village in 2014. Its Gothic houses, cobbled alleys, halls and panoramic views over the Cérou valley make it a unique site.
The fair is held in the sports hall on route de Bournazel, near the stadium, below the medieval town. The indoor setting allows visitors to focus on the items on display in ideal comfort whatever the weather.
