Annual July flea market at the stadium and Place des Borderies in Louzac-Saint-André, 320 exhibitors
The Folle Brocante des Borderies in Louzac-Saint-André is one of the major flea markets in Charente. Since its creation, it has continued to grow to become an essential event in July, attracting around 320 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors each year to the stadium and Place des Borderies site.
The originality of this flea market lies in its requirement: only second-hand items from individuals and professional flea market dealers are admitted. The sale of new items is strictly prohibited, guaranteeing treasure hunters a real market of antiques and second-hand goods. Antique furniture, crockery, trinkets, tools, books, vintage clothing, and curiosities of all kinds make up the offer.
Louzac-Saint-André is a commune in the canton of Cognac, in the heart of the Borderies vineyard, the smallest of the six cognac crus. This prestigious terroir, renowned for its round and floral brandies, gives the flea market a typically Charentais setting, between vineyards and the Charente valley.
Exhibitor setup begins at 5 a.m., and the sale is open to the public from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The pitch costs 2 euros per linear meter. Meal trays are available by reservation at a price of 15 euros. Refreshments and food are available throughout the day.
From Cognac, take the D731 north towards Matha. Louzac-Saint-André is about 5 km away. Follow the signs for the stadium and Place des Borderies.
Free parking near the stadium.
