Longevilles-Mont-d'Or is a village in Haut-Doubs located at over 1,000 meters altitude, at the gateway to the Parc naturel régional du Doubs-Horloger. Its annual flea market-car boot sale, organized by the association Anim'Censeau, celebrates its 12th edition in July 2026, demonstrating the event's deep roots in local life.
The village center hosts the stalls of exhibitors who have pre-registered their pitches at the advantageous rate of €2.50/m, compared to €3/m for registrations on the morning of the event. This pricing policy encourages participants to register in advance, facilitating logistical organization and ensuring a good density of exhibitors. The mountain atmosphere, the coolness of the altitude, and the spectacular landscapes of Mont d'Or make this flea market an extraordinary treasure hunting experience.
The association Anim'Censeau created this flea market-car boot sale twelve years ago with the aim of animating the village of Longevilles-Mont-d'Or and creating a summer gathering open to all. Over the editions, the event has gained notoriety throughout the Haut-Doubs region, attracting exhibitors and visitors from neighboring valleys as well as passing Swiss tourists.
The association handles the complete organization of the event: welcoming exhibitors, marking out pitches, entertainment, and coordinating volunteers. Its action contributes to the dynamism of Longevilles-Mont-d'Or, a village that owes its name both to its elongated shape (longe-ville) and to its proximity to Mont d'Or (1,463 m), the highest point in the Doubs department.
Overlooking the Pontarlier valley, Mont d'Or is the highest point in the Doubs department at 1,463 meters. The village of Longevilles-Mont-d'Or, nestled at its feet, benefits from an exceptional geographical location, between the ski resort of Les Fourgs and the Swiss border at Lac de Joux. Traditional Franche-Comté chalets, forest roads, and endless pastures create a mountain setting of great beauty.
In summer, Longevilles-Mont-d'Or is a popular destination for hiking, mountain biking, and exploring the Jura nature. The flea market-car boot sale on July 19, 2026, fits perfectly into the village's summer tourist offerings.
