About 12th Bike Exchange

The 12th arrondissement bike exchange takes place on Wednesday 15 April 2026 from 10am to 5pm at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University premises, avenue de Saint-Mandé in Paris. Organised by La Cycklette, a cycling association, it lets buyers and sellers trade second-hand bikes with technical checks by association mechanics.

The 12th bike exchange, cyclists' gathering

On Wednesday 15 April 2026, from 10am to 5pm, the 12th arrondissement bike exchange sets up at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, organised by La Cycklette.

La Cycklette, community bike workshop

La Cycklette runs a solidarity self-repair workshop, Bicycode anti-theft marking sessions, and the annual bike exchange.

How it works

Sellers drop their bike in the morning; the association sets a minimum price and handles the sale. Buyers get a technical check by volunteer mechanics.

What bikes

City bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes, kids' bikes, sometimes folding or vintage models. Prices typically €80 to €400.

An ecological gesture

Buying second-hand extends bike lifespans in a fast-growing cycling city.
