About Pentecost Fair Saint-Pardoux-l'Ortigier
The association L'Ortigier en Fête organizes every Pentecost Sunday the Pentecost Fair of Saint-Pardoux-l'Ortigier on the shaded site of the Espace Henri et Martine Dumont, by the communal pond. This event brings together between 100 and 200 exhibitors for a fair of regional products, wines, plants and flowers, accompanied by arts and crafts and a car boot sale. Free pony rides, inflatable structures, musical entertainment and catering complete this family day from 8 am to 7 pm. The 2025 edition was the 10th, and 2026 will be the 11th.
A festive fair by the pond
The Pentecost Fair of Saint-Pardoux-l'Ortigier has become over a decade an unmissable event in the Brive area. Every Pentecost Sunday, the association L'Ortigier en Fête transforms the site of the Espace Henri et Martine Dumont, by the communal pond, into a vast shaded festive market.
Regional products and arts and crafts
Between 100 and 200 exhibitors offer a selection of regional products: foie gras, confits, Périgord walnuts, mountain cheeses, honeys, jams and South-West wines. Artisans present ceramics, sculpture, engraving and original creations. A large area is dedicated to plants, flowers and shrubs for gardeners.
Car boot sale in parallel
A car boot sale operates in parallel with the fair, allowing individuals to sell second-hand items, clothing and trinkets. Exhibitor rates are progressive: €10 for 3 meters, €15 for 3 to 5 meters, €20 for 5 to 10 meters.
Free entertainment for children
Families enjoy free pony and carriage rides, inflatable structures and entertainment throughout the day. On-site catering offers meal platters, grills, fries, crepes and drinks.
Saint-Pardoux-l'Ortigier, on the outskirts of Brive
Saint-Pardoux-l'Ortigier is a hilly commune located about ten kilometers northwest of Brive-la-Gaillarde, between the Vézère valley and the first foothills of the Corrèze plateau. Its communal pond offers a green and shaded setting, ideal for this spring fair.
