The Bourdeilles Car Boot Sale: hunt for bargains every Sunday at the foot of the castle

Every Sunday of the year, the place called Le Poirier Blanc in Bourdeilles hosts a car boot sale that has become a local institution. Organized by Christophe and Bruno, two enthusiasts of bargain hunting and conviviality, this weekly event attracts exhibitors and visitors in an exceptional setting, in the immediate vicinity of the Bourdeilles castle and the banks of the Dronne.

A Sunday event for all bargain hunters

Every Sunday, from 5 a.m. for exhibitors and 7 a.m. for visitors, the stalls are set up at Le Poirier Blanc. You can find furniture, crockery, clothes, books, tools, toys, and a thousand everyday objects offered by individuals. The pitch is available for €2 per linear meter, making participation accessible to all. Booking is mandatory for exhibitors.

Bourdeilles, jewel of Périgord Vert

A medieval village in the Dronne valley, Bourdeilles is dominated by its imposing castle, which combines a 13th-century keep and a Renaissance pavilion. Classified as a Historic Monument, the castle attracts thousands of visitors each year. The village, with its stone alleys, its Gothic bridge over the Dronne, and its half-timbered houses, offers a picturesque setting for a Sunday morning of bargain hunting. Bourdeilles is located about ten kilometers from Brantôme, the "Venice of Périgord".
