Every autumn, the Amicales CNL du Watford 9 and AJD invite neighbourhood residents and bargain hunters from across Nanterre to their annual car boot sale on the Watford esplanade (92000). Held on the Watford esplanade, a green pedestrian area between rue Watford and rue de la Paix, this neighbourhood event combines conviviality, the circular economy and community spirit.
The CNL Amicales: tenants' rights in action for the neighbourhood
The Confédération Nationale du Logement (CNL) brings together tenants' associations that defend residents' rights and animate the life of their housing estates. In Nanterre, the Amicales CNL du Watford 9 and AJD are two active associations in the Watford neighbourhood — a social housing area to the west of Nanterre city centre. Their annual car boot sale is one of their flagship actions to strengthen community bonds.
An outdoor car boot sale in a green setting
The Watford esplanade offers a pleasant setting for browsing the stalls. Sellers offer all kinds of items: clothes, books, toys, decorative objects, small appliances, crockery, records and all manner of bric-a-brac. A refreshment stand adds to the festive atmosphere throughout the day. The event runs from 8am to 5:30pm.
