June flea market along the Seine riverbank, organized by the Mée-sur-Seine Festivities Committee
Videz vos Greniers is the major annual flea market organized by the Mée-sur-Seine Festivities Committee. Set up along the Seine riverbank, it offers every June a particularly pleasant setting for bargain hunting, with the river as a backdrop. This family event, with an attractive exhibitor rate of 4 € per linear meter on the street side with parking, brings together residents and bargain hunters in the friendly atmosphere typical of Brie community events.
The Mée-sur-Seine Festivities Committee organizes every year, in the heart of June, its major Videz vos Greniers event along the Seine riverbank. Led by passionate volunteers, this flea market is one of the highlights of the municipal calendar and brings together residents of the various neighborhoods and bargain hunters from across the Melun metropolitan area. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday June 8.
The originality of this event lies in its setting: the banks of the Seine, which offer exhibitors and visitors a refreshing and pleasant environment, particularly enjoyable in the warm season. The stalls set up along the streets and spaces bordering the river, allowing bargain hunters to stroll while enjoying the river view. This natural setting gives the flea market an almost festive dimension not found at those held on parking lots or classic urban squares.
The Festivities Committee has set up accessible pricing with a flat rate of 4 € per linear meter for spots on the street side with adjoining parking. This arrangement, very competitive compared to many Paris-region flea markets, maximizes private participation and reinforces the popular, family character of the event. Registration is done with the Festivities Committee in advance.
Videz vos Greniers offers a wide variety of second-hand items: adult and children's clothing, toys, books, comics, vinyl records and CDs, crockery, childcare equipment, small appliances, tools, DIY supplies, furniture, old knickknacks, and decorative objects. Diversity is guaranteed by the participation of many private individuals taking the chance to lighten attics and cellars after winter.
The second most populous commune of the Melun metropolitan area, Le Mée-sur-Seine enjoys a remarkable location along the Seine, a few kilometers upstream of Melun. The town is active in community and cultural life, with many events spread throughout the year. The riverbanks, developed for walking and cycling, are an appreciated leisure spot for residents and visitors. The flea market naturally fits into this dynamic.
For bargain hunters coming from further afield, the flea market visit can be extended by a walk along the Seine, a visit to Melun and its medieval town, a discovery of the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, or a detour via Fontainebleau, about fifteen minutes away. Southern Seine-et-Marne offers many ways to enrich a day devoted to bargain hunting.
Videz vos Greniers takes place on Sunday June 8, 2026 along the Seine riverbank in Le Mée-sur-Seine. Free admission for visitors. Exhibitor fee: 4 €/m on the street side with parking. Registration through the Festivities Committee.
