May Day Fair, a Seyssel tradition

Every May 1st, the Amicale des Boules de Seyssel carries on the tradition of the May Day Fair on the Seyssel esplanade. This spring event, attracting around 200 exhibitors, has become a must for flea market enthusiasts across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

A large-scale flea market

From 7am to 6pm, the esplanade transforms into a vast open-air flea market. Stalls stretch over several hundred metres, offering a considerable choice of items: antique furniture, collectible tableware, vintage clothing, retro toys, tools, books, vinyl records and many other curiosities.

A festive and friendly fair

Beyond the flea market, the May Day Fair is a true festive event with food and drink stalls throughout the day.

Seyssel, a Rhône town

Seyssel is a historic town on the banks of the Rhône, on the border between Haute-Savoie and Ain. Famous for its AOC vineyard, the town offers a picturesque setting between mountains and waterways.
