House clear-out in the village streets, residents sell from their homes
The house clear-out of the residents of Saint-Hilaire-la-Gravelle is an original concept where the village residents sell directly in front of their homes, transforming the streets into a huge open-air car boot sale. This friendly format, increasingly popular in the villages of Vendômois, allows you to discover the local heritage while treasure hunting from house to house.
Saint-Hilaire-la-Gravelle, a small village in Vendômois nestled in the Perche hills, offers an original house clear-out every autumn. The concept: residents set up their stalls directly in front of their homes, transforming the village streets and gardens into a life-sized treasure hunt.
Unlike traditional car boot sales concentrated in one place, the house clear-out invites visitors to wander through the village, from door to door. Each resident offers their own items: furniture, crockery, tools, toys, and knick-knacks. It's an opportunity to discover the gardens and courtyards of the village houses.
Saint-Hilaire-la-Gravelle is one of those rural communes in Loir-et-Cher where village life remains authentic. The event, held in September, takes advantage of the last beautiful days of summer to offer a pleasant and friendly stroll through the village lanes.
The Saint-Hilaire-la-Gravelle house clear-out returns in September 2026 in the village streets.
