Each spring, Association Devise runs the Maillé Garden Flea Market & Local Producers. The 2026 edition runs on Sunday 26 April, Place du Port, in this charming Marais poitevin village. Around 20 exhibitors and regional visitors.

The concept mixes garden flea market (private sellers with plants, cuttings, tools) and producers' market (honey, jams, local goods), with local artists and craftspeople. A winning formula for garden enthusiasts and terroir lovers.

Maillé, a Marais poitevin village

A village of around 700 in the Vendée Marais poitevin, on the Sèvre Niortaise. The "Green Venice": canals, pollarded ash trees, wet meadows. Maillé keeps its authentic feel — white-stone houses, the port and its boats. Place du Port is among the commune's most photogenic spots.

A lovely country day

Rent a boat to explore the marsh canals, visit nearby Maillezais Abbey, or carry on to Damvix, Le Mazeau and other "Green Venice" villages.
