Angoulême's Largest Urban Car Boot Sale

Every first Sunday of September, the La Madeleine district in Angoulême transforms into a huge open-air flea market. The Vide-Greniers de la Madeleine, organized by the CADIM (Comité d'Animation et de Défense des Intérêts de La Madeleine), has become since its creation in 2002 the largest urban car boot sale in the Charente prefecture, attracting over 300 exhibitors and thousands of visitors.

Espace Lunesse at the Heart of the Event

The event unfolds around the Espace Lunesse, boulevard Pierre Camus, and in the streets of the La Madeleine district. Exhibitors have indoor and outdoor spaces, with tables and racks provided for indoor locations. The Lunesse sector offers an ideal setting with its wide sidewalks and green spaces, allowing for smooth circulation between the stands.

A Lively District of Angoulême

The La Madeleine district is one of the most dynamic districts of Angoulême, the prefecture of Charente. Located southwest of the upper town, it is easily accessible from the city center and has numerous free parking spaces. CADIM, a very active neighborhood association, organizes unifying events throughout the year, of which this car boot sale is the highlight.

CADIM volunteers ensure catering and refreshments throughout the day. Restrooms are available and parking is free nearby. The event is accessible to people with reduced mobility, reflecting the neighborhood committee's commitment to inclusion.
