A car boot sale in a historic fort

The Brégille car boot sale is one of Besançon's most unique flea market events. Organized by the Maison de Quartier de Brégille, it takes place in the heart of Fort de Brégille, a 19th-century military structure inscribed in the Séré de Rivières defensive system, perched on the wooded heights overlooking the left bank of the Doubs. This exceptional heritage setting gives the event a unique atmosphere, both historical and festive.

More than 60 exhibitors within the fort's walls

Each edition brings together more than 60 private exhibitors and a few professionals who set up in the interior spaces and the fort's courtyard to offer a wide variety of second-hand items: children's and adult clothing, toys, books, records, tableware, tools, appliances, furniture, and many curiosities. The organization ensures a welcoming atmosphere with refreshments and light food to enhance the day.

A family event in the heart of Besançon's nature

Fort de Brégille is accessible via the Chemin du Fort de Brégille, surrounded by greenery, making the car boot sale a true outdoor family event. Children can explore the surroundings of the fort while adults browse the stalls. Free parking is available on the fort's esplanade, making it easy for visitors from all over the Besançon area to access.

Since its launch a few years ago, the Brégille car boot sale has established itself as one of the unmissable events on Besançon's June flea market calendar.
