The Vide-Greniers Brico-Cash: Miramas' Sunday treasure hunting rendezvous

Every Sunday, the parking lot of the Brico-Cash store, avenue du 8 Mai 1945 in the ZAC des Molières in Miramas, transforms into a vast open-air car boot sale. Up to 100 individual exhibitors set up their stalls to offer treasure hunters and families a wide selection of second-hand items. Entry is free for visitors, who are welcomed from 1:30 PM every Sunday.

Miramas, between the Étang de Berre and the Plaine de la Crau

Miramas occupies a unique geographical position in the Bouches-du-Rhône, at the junction between two emblematic Provençal landscapes: the Étang de Berre to the east, the largest saltwater lake in Europe, and the vast Plaine de la Crau to the south, a unique arid steppe in France. Perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the Étang de Berre, this fortified village preserves the remains of its ramparts, the ruins of its medieval castle, the Porte Notre-Dame, and the Chapelle Saint-Julien. Inhabited since the 9th century, when Saracen invasions drove populations to seek refuge on the heights, Miramas-le-Vieux today offers a striking panorama of the Étang de Berre and the Plaine de la Crau. Its stone alleys, small shaded squares, and preserved atmosphere make it an authentic Provençal medieval gem.

A friendly and accessible car boot sale

The Brico-Cash parking lot car boot sale is distinguished by its regularity and accessibility. The exhibitors, exclusively individuals, set up from 12:30 PM and offer a wide variety of items:

• Clothing and accessories for the whole family
• Toys, board games, and books
• Small appliances and multimedia
• Trinkets, vinyl records, and vintage items
• Tools and DIY items

The location in a large parking lot allows for easy movement between stalls and comfortable parking for visitors near the neighboring Intermarché.

Practical information for exhibitors

Registration is done directly on-site, without prior reservation, on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee is 12 euros per vehicle, 17 euros with a trailer, and 20 euros for professionals (upon presentation of a Kbis extract and insurance certificate). A 5 euro deposit is required to ensure the cleanliness of the spot. Exhibitors must bring a photocopy of their identity document.

After the car boot sale, visitors can stroll through the alleys of Miramas-le-Vieux, walk along the banks of the Étang de Berre, or explore the Crau, a land of transhumance and steppes classified as a nature reserve. The proximity of Salon-de-Provence, Istres, and Saint-Chamas also allows combining the car boot sale with visits to major heritage sites in western Provence.
