Car boot sale and boat clear-out organized by the Mab Maul association at the Férel multipurpose hall
The car boot sale and boat clear-out of Férel is organized by the Mab Maul association at the multipurpose hall, 3 la Croix du Guernet. The event combines a classic flea market and the sale of nautical equipment: dinghies, engines, sails, fittings, books, and marine charts. The funds raised are used for the restoration of the Mab-Maul boat, classified as a Heritage Interest Boat.
The Mab Maul association organizes an original event in Férel every year: a car boot sale combined with a boat clear-out. Exhibitors offer both classic second-hand items and nautical equipment: dinghies, engines, sails, fittings, marine electronics, books, and nautical charts. The event starts as early as 7 a.m. around the multipurpose hall.
The association takes its name from the Mab-Maul, a traditional boat certified as a Heritage Interest Boat by the Foundation for Maritime and Fluvial Heritage. The funds raised during the car boot sale are used to restore and maintain this heritage vessel, a living testament to Breton maritime tradition.
Férel is a commune of about 3,500 inhabitants located in the south-east of Morbihan, between the Vilaine river and the Atlantic Ocean. Near La Roche-Bernard and Pénestin, the village benefits from a rural and maritime environment that explains the nautical focus of this unique car boot sale.
