The Stade des Padules is one of the most emblematic sports venues in Ajaccio: it's where AC Ajaccio, the flagship club of the Corsican capital, plays its home games. But outside the football season, the stadium or its immediate surroundings become the setting for a very different popular event: the car boot sale, held on Sundays in May and June.

From 7 am to 2 pm, individual sellers and a few professionals set up their stalls in this unusual sporting setting. You can find everything: adult and children's clothing, books, toys, electronics, crockery, trinkets, tools, and all sorts of items from Ajaccio attics. It's a great opportunity to stroll, hunt for bargains, and make deals in a relaxed atmosphere.

A central and accessible neighborhood

The Padules neighborhood is located in the northern part of Ajaccio's city center, not far from Boulevard du Maréchal Juin and the city's main arteries. This area, easily accessible from the main roads, is well-served and has parking facilities nearby. Its proximity to the city center makes Padules an ideal location for a car boot sale attracting a diverse audience: local residents, people from all over Ajaccio, and passing tourists looking for an authentic activity.

A friendly morning format

The Padules car boot sales take place early in the morning, as is the tradition for French flea markets: the early bird catches the best finds. Starting at 7 am allows the earliest bargain hunters to sift through the stalls before the Ajaccio morning heat. Closing at 2 pm leaves the afternoon free to enjoy the rest of the day.
