Car boot sale organised by the Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or Firefighters' Association
The Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or Firefighters' Association organises its annual car boot sale, a community and popular event attracting village residents and bargain hunters from neighbouring communes. Sellers and visitors gather on the village's public spaces for a traditional brocante day: clothing, toys, books, crockery, ornaments, tools and everyday objects change hands at low prices.
Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or is a picturesque village on the right bank of the Saône, in the Monts d'Or area, about ten kilometres north of Lyon. The village is also known worldwide for having hosted Paul Bocuse's legendary starred restaurant, making this small village a gastronomic landmark. Village life is nonetheless well preserved, sustained by associations like the firefighters' club.
