Every summer, in August, the village of Pianottoli-Caldarello comes alive for its annual car boot sale, organized by the Associu d'Annunziata. This local association, whose name evokes the Annunciation chapel dear to its heart, organizes this event for the benefit of the village church, in a beautiful spirit of community solidarity.
Stands are set up on the sidewalks of Stritta di a Traversa—the village's main street—which is closed to vehicle traffic for the occasion, between the Viagenti crossroads and the parking lot. The RT40 road remains accessible only via Stritta di Morandinu. This traffic management reflects the seriousness with which the inhabitants prepare this festive and popular event.
Private sellers and flea market enthusiasts display their objects, clothes, books, and trinkets on stalls, creating an authentic village street sale in this preserved corner of southern Corsica. To reserve a spot, please contact 06 19 89 59 72.
