The car boot sale and spring market of Montigny-sur-Aube

Every May, the small village of Montigny-sur-Aube, located in the northern reaches of the Côte-d'Or on the border of the Aube department, hosts a car boot sale and spring market organized by the association Les Lutins de Montigny. The event takes place at the village hall and its surroundings, in a typical rural setting of the Châtillonnais region.

A double event: bargain hunting and seasonal products

The event combines a traditional car boot sale, where individuals clear out their attics at low prices, and a spring market featuring local artisans and producers. Attractive prices (first meter offered free for individuals, then 1 euro per additional meter) encourage broad participation.

Montigny-sur-Aube is a charming village in the north of the Côte-d'Or, crossed by the river Aube which originates nearby, on the Langres plateau. The green and hilly landscape of the Châtillonnais, its forests and meadows, make it an ideal place for spring strolls between finds at the car boot sale.
