Car boot sale, garden clear-out and plant swap on May 1st and July 14th in Gageac-et-Rouillac, in the heart of the Monbazillac vineyards
The village of Gageac-et-Rouillac, nestled in the heart of the Monbazillac appellation in Périgord Pourpre, hosts two car boot sales per year: on May 1st and July 14th. The Comité des Loisirs and the Association des Jardins organize these events in front of the village town hall, amidst the vineyards and the hills of Bergerac.
The May 1st edition is distinguished by its versatile nature. Alongside the classic car boot sale, the Association des Jardins offers a garden clear-out with sales of plants, cuttings, and seeds, as well as a seamstresses' swap where sewing enthusiasts exchange fabrics, patterns, and haberdashery. This original combination attracts a diverse audience, from bargain hunters to gardeners and needlework lovers.
On July 14th, the car boot sale is part of the village festival organized by the Comité des Loisirs. This festive day combines the pleasure of bargain hunting with the entertainment and conviviality of the national holiday, in the warm atmosphere of this small village in Périgord.
Gageac-et-Rouillac is a rural commune located between Bergerac and Sigoulès, on the hills of the Monbazillac appellation. The rolling vineyard landscapes, the golden stone houses, and the Romanesque church create an authentic setting for these flea market and village festival days.
