Charitable car boot sale for the benefit of the Pablo Picasso school in Jarny
Each year, the association Les Calinours organizes its car boot sale in Jarny, a dynamic small town in the north of Meurthe-et-Moselle. This event, much more than just a flea market, is a solidarity gathering as all the funds raised are donated to the Pablo Picasso school in Jarny. Parents of students, volunteers, and residents come together to make this day a moment of sharing and conviviality.
The Vide-grenier des Calinours attracts individual sellers offering a variety of items for sale: toys, children's and adult clothing, small furniture, books, tableware, decorations, and everyday accessories. The atmosphere is resolutely family-oriented, with many families from Jarny and the surrounding areas coming to hunt for bargains. Prices are generally very attractive, making it a popular event for second-hand enthusiasts.
The association Les Calinours, based in Jarny, aims to raise funds to finance educational and recreational projects at the Pablo Picasso school. The car boot sale is one of the association's main annual highlights, helping to fund school trips, educational materials, or activities for students. This solidarity initiative gives the event a particularly appreciated human dimension for participants.
The car boot sale is open to everyone, with free entry for visitors. Individual sellers are welcome and can book a spot by contacting the association. A refreshment stand and a catering area are usually available on-site to enhance this outdoor bargain hunting day.
