Annual car boot sale in the Station des Rousses, in the heart of Haut-Jura
The Vide-grenier de Prémanon is held every March in this village in Haut-Jura, one of the four villages that make up the Station des Rousses. Nestled at over 1,100 meters above sea level in the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park, Prémanon offers an exceptional mountain setting for this end-of-winter treasure hunt. A popular event for locals and tourists visiting the resort.
Every March, Prémanon hosts its annual car boot sale. This village in Haut-Jura, located at over 1,100 meters above sea level, is part of the Station des Rousses along with Les Rousses, Lamoura, and Bois-d'Amont. The car boot sale marks the transition between the winter and spring seasons in the mountains.
The car boot sale brings together private sellers offering clothes, sports equipment, furniture, toys, books, and everyday items. The proximity of the ski resort sometimes allows for finding winter sports equipment at good prices: skis, boots, technical clothing.
Prémanon is located in the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park, a few kilometers from the Swiss border. The village is known for the Espace des Mondes Polaires Paul-Émile Victor, a unique cultural and sports complex. Spruce forests, snowy valleys, and high-altitude pastures make up a typically Jura landscape.
Scheduled for March, the Prémanon car boot sale is a pleasant outing at the end of the winter season. Visitors can combine treasure hunting with a visit to the Espace des Mondes Polaires or a walk in the resort's surroundings.
