An APE vide-grenier at the village stadium

La Chapelle Montreuil-Bonnin's Parents-Teachers Association (APE) runs its annual vide-grenier at the village stadium every year. 2026: Sunday 31 May, 9am-5pm. Double aim: friendly day for residents and collectors, plus fundraising for the school (trips, teaching materials, kids' projects).

Stadium ideal setting: outdoor space, parking, toilets, good access. Volunteer parents greet exhibitors at dawn and carry the day in their signature good mood. Food truck and bar keep catering going all day.

Montreuil-Bonnin, Haut-Poitou village

Haut-Poitou commune west of Poitiers, in Grand Poitiers Urban Community. Known for its medieval fortified castle (13th c., Historic Monument), impressive vestige from Eleanor of Aquitaine's reign. Surviving towers, ramparts, monumental gate witness the military past.

Now part of Boivre-la-Vallée new commune (2019 merger) but keeps identity and school, supported by the organising APE.

A gesture for the village school

Rural schools, especially in small villages, often depend on community dynamism for operational budget. APEs play essential role: field trips, artistic/sports projects, specific material purchases otherwise unfinanced. Attending the vide-grenier concretely supports this.
