Every year, Montpezat-de-Quercy's Parents' Association (APE) hosts its flea market at Salle Georges Brassens, the village's main community space. It's one of the year's highlights for the APE: proceeds go entirely to funding the village school's projects (school outings, nature classes, teaching materials, end-of-year events).

An indoor format

Held inside Salle Georges Brassens, the flea market benefits from a fully sheltered setup, ideal for the often unpredictable spring weather. Stands are reserved for private individuals, ensuring a true attic clear-out with no professional dealers. The family-friendly atmosphere is reinforced by the children and parent volunteers handling reception, signage and refreshments.

What you can find

The offer is typical of a school flea market: children's and adult clothing, toys in large numbers, books and comics, baby items, crockery, board games, small furniture, vinyl, knick-knacks. The baby and toy sections are usually especially well-stocked, thanks to families clearing children's bedrooms. Prices are generally very accessible.

A village spirit

Beyond the bargain hunting, the APE flea market is a moment of reunion for Montpezat residents. Coffee, pastries, drinks and snacks are run by parent volunteers, in an atmosphere that blends flea market and neighbourhood gathering.
