The ADASC flea market, a Loudunais solidarity rendezvous

ADASC is the parents' and supporters' association of the RPI schools grouping Beuxes, Messemé and Sammarçolles — three Loudunais villages in the north-west of the Vienne department. Each spring the association runs its flea market at the Sammarçolles municipal stadium, a traditional event in the local community fabric. The 2026 edition is on Sunday 3 May.

The aim is twofold: let local families buy and sell second-hand goods at low prices, and raise funds for the children's school and cultural activities — outings, trips, teaching materials, shows.

A strong educational dimension

What sets this flea market apart is its direct link with school life. The plant sale grown by the children is emblematic: pupils are involved in production, giving the event real meaning. Proceeds fund their projects. It's also a chance for RPI families to meet and sustain rural community life.

Sammarçolles municipal stadium

Open-air space adapted for exhibitors with facilities (toilets, parking, kids area). Sammarçolles is a village of around 700 residents a few kilometres south of Loudun.

Beuxes, Messemé, Sammarçolles: RPI trio

The three communes illustrate Poitou rurality: small villages (200-700 inhabitants) pooling resources via intercommunal school grouping. ADASC adds complementary funding.

Soft prices, relaxed vibe. Arrive early, bring small cash. Don't miss the kids' plant stand.

Loudun and Loudunais

Often underrated, the Loudunais has a remarkable heritage: Tour Carrée, Renaissance town hall, underground passages, Sainte-Croix church. Monts-sur-Guesnes, Moncontour with its keep, Château de Ternay nearby extend the visit.
