The garage sale that celebrates Clichy-sous-Bois

Once a year, Clichy-sous-Bois Town Hall transforms the heart of the town into a great popular festival: the Fête de la Ville (City Festival). The programme for this day that brings together residents from all neighbourhoods includes a large garage sale running between the allée Salvadore Allende and the town hall square.

From 10am to 6pm, dozens of vendors from across the town set up their stalls to offer clothing, toys, books, trinkets and all sorts of objects. The garage sale is open to all, free of charge, and continues a tradition deeply embedded in Clichy-sous-Bois community life. Vendors are private individuals who use the occasion to give a second life to their belongings, in a spirit of sharing and circular economy.

The day is enriched by a varied cultural and sports programme: associations forum, children's entertainment, concerts and shows. The City Festival is an exceptional moment that brings the entire population together around the values of solidarity and community life dear to the town.
