Gonfaron spring on the Place de la Victoire

Nestled at the foot of the Maures massif between Toulon and Le Luc, Gonfaron is a charming village known for its storks and its Tortoise Village. Its spring flea market, organised by the dynamic Festivities Committee, transforms the Place de la Victoire into a small market each April.

A human-sized flea market

The event mainly gathers locals and neighbours from surrounding villages. You will find what makes the charm of a Provencal flea market: neatly folded children's clothes, paperbacks, vintage toys, earthenware crockery, garden tools, old postcards, knick-knacks, vinyl records and sometimes a few pieces of furniture.

A charming village square

The square, shaded by plane trees and lined with Provencal houses with colourful shutters, offers an ideal setting for browsing. The chiners' market naturally extends to adjacent lanes, particularly towards the Boulodrome.

The Festivities Committee spirit

The Gonfaron Festivities Committee runs the refreshment stand - coffee, cold drinks, pastries, sometimes socca or sandwiches. The proceeds fund other village events: local festival in June, summer entertainment, end-of-year festivities.

An ideal opportunity to visit the Tortoise Village, a renowned zoological establishment dedicated to preserving Hermann's tortoises endemic to the Maures, or to explore the Romanesque chapels and the vineyards of the Cotes de Provence.
