Edition Juin 2025 — Vide-Grenier Cornillon-Confoux

The 2025 edition of the Vide-Grenier de Cornillon-Confoux was held in June in the streets of this hilltop village in the Bouches-du-Rhône, nicknamed the balcony of the Étang de Berre. Private exhibitors set up their stalls between golden stone facades, ancient fountains, and the 1852 belfry, offering tableware, books, clothing, toys, trinkets, and various items to bargain hunters from Salon-de-Provence, Istres, and all along the north bank of the Étang de Berre. The exceptional panorama of the Alpilles, Sainte-Victoire, and the Luberon provided an incomparable setting for this outdoor bargain hunting day. Entry was free for all visitors.

In June 2025, the Vide-Grenier de Cornillon-Confoux took over the narrow streets and the square of this hilltop village in the Bouches-du-Rhône, one of the few elevated villages in the department. At the foot of the 1852 belfry and the 12th-century Romanesque Church of Saint-Vincent, private exhibitors set up their stalls in an authentic Provencal setting.

Provencal tableware and pottery, books, clothing for the whole family, toys, decorative trinkets, and small furniture attracted bargain hunters from Salon-de-Provence, Istres, Saint-Chamas, and neighboring communes. From this natural viewpoint perched at an altitude of 110 meters, visitors enjoyed an exceptional panorama encompassing the Étang de Berre, the Alpilles, the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, and the Luberon.

Cornillon-Confoux, a commune of about 1,400 inhabitants nestled between Salon-de-Provence and Istres, boasts unsuspected heritage: the 13th-century Château de Confoux, the 11th-century Romanesque Chapel of Saint-Vincent built by the monks of Montmajour, about fifty dry stone bories, and one of the longest beehives in France, a 60-meter wall with 56 niches that once housed bee swarms. Visitors could extend their visit by taking the garrigue trails leading to the bories circuit or by strolling along the Touloubre.
