Bargain hunting in the heart of Artuby-Verdon
Just a few kilometers from the spectacular Verdon Gorges, Comps-sur-Artuby hosts its annual spring flea market. Bargain hunters gather in front of the village hall for a friendly day that kicks off the season in this Artuby-Verdon township, at the foot of the highest village in Var.
Comps-sur-Artuby is a typical Provençal village of the Haut-Var, located on the plateau separating the Verdon Gorges from the Sainte-Baume massif. Historic township of the Artuby-Verdon canton, each spring it hosts a flea market eagerly awaited by neighbouring villagers from Bargème, La Bastide, La Martre and Trigance.
Exhibitors traditionally set up in front of the village hall, on an open space with good visibility. A simple and authentic setting that favours friendly atmosphere over staging. Expect rural bric-Ã -brac, dishware, household linen, vintage toys, books, small furniture and trinkets.
The Comps flea market is also a social event. Local producers sometimes bring honey, jam or olive oil from the plateau.
The Comps-sur-Artuby spring flea market returns on Sunday May 3, 2026 in front of the village hall. A traditional gathering for Haut-Var bargain hunters, just a few kilometers from the Verdon Gorges.
From Draguignan via D955 (40 min) or Castellane via D71. Free parking near the village hall.
