On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the hamlet of Échevis buzzed with the rhythm of its annual car boot sale. On this natural balcony overlooking the gorges of the Royans drômois, the exhibitors—mostly residents of the village and surrounding communes—had set up their stalls from the morning.
In this end-of-the-world atmosphere typical of the perched villages of the Drôme, bargain hunters and the curious rummaged through everyday objects, old tools, tableware, and second-hand clothes. All this in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, far from the noise and bustle of the large flea markets on the plain. The spectacular views of the Bourne and the cliffs of the Royans did not fail to charm visitors who came from further afield.
This authentic village car boot sale is expected to return in June 2026, true to its annual appointment in this preserved natural setting.
