Vide-Grenier CNL des Fauconnières: a neighbourhood celebration of second-hand

In the rich associative life of Ivry-sur-Seine, the CNL (Confédération Nationale du Logement) des Fauconnières holds a special place. Each year, this residents' association organises its flea market on the Fauconnières square, transforming this community space into a lively, warm open-air market.

The event usually takes place in spring – May or June depending on the year – and runs from morning until evening. Vendors, all private residents of the neighbourhood or of Ivry-sur-Seine, set up their stalls and offer an eclectic selection of everyday items: clothing, books, toys, trinkets, electronics and furniture.

A neighbourhood party atmosphere

What sets the Fauconnières flea market apart is its deeply festive and community character. The CNL association has made it much more than a simple marketplace: there is a drinks stand from early morning, a barbecue filling the square with tempting aromas, live music setting the pace, and a fair-like atmosphere that brings neighbours together over a shared glass. The event's stated goal is to allow residents to 'buy and sell, but also to meet, exchange and celebrate.'
