The Chevinay car boot sale

Every first Sunday of October, the village of Chevinay hosts its annual car boot sale. As in many Monts du Lyonnais villages, this event gives residents the chance to clear out their belongings and find new homes for them with other families. Clothing, toys, books, crockery, ornaments, tools and everyday objects change hands in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

Chevinay and the Monts du Lyonnais

Chevinay is a commune in the Monts du Lyonnais, a medium-mountain massif rising to the west of Lyon, between L'Arbresle to the north and Yzeron to the south. At around 600 metres altitude on average, the Monts du Lyonnais plateau is a preserved natural and agricultural space, renowned for its meadows, forests and picturesque villages.

Getting there

Chevinay is accessible from L'Arbresle (about 10 km) via the D389, and from Lyon via the A89 motorway (L'Arbresle exit). The commune is about 30 km west of Lyon. Parking in the village.
