The big spring flea market in the Villebourbon district
Fourth stop on the annual itinerant calendar of Les Blouses Roses 82 in Montauban, the mid-April flea market combines the Carreyrat community hall and the Villebourbon district. Over two days with extended hours (10 am-7 pm), it becomes one of Montauban's great spring bargain-hunting events, with a mixed indoor-outdoor format, neighbourhood-fête atmosphere and charity benefit for hospitalised children and EHPAD residents.
For mid-April, Les Blouses Roses 82 and Les Deux L 82 return to the Carreyrat community hall — already used in February — but this time in connection with the Villebourbon district, on the banks of the Tarn west of Montauban's historic centre. The format changes: extended hours from 10 am to 7 pm over two days, large opening to private sellers, a more festive atmosphere than the winter events.
As with the other itinerant flea markets of Les Blouses Roses 82, two configurations are offered: indoor tables (€4 each) and outdoor stands around the hall (€3 per linear metre). With visitor numbers typically higher in April than winter, this is the busiest event in the association's annual calendar at the Carreyrat hall. The connection with the Villebourbon district — one of Montauban's oldest and most charming neighbourhoods, with its lanes along the Tarn — adds extra appeal.
Mostly private sellers from the neighbourhood and the city, offering the classics: adult and children's clothing, toys, games, books, crockery, knick-knacks, vinyl, baby gear, small furniture, kids' bikes, garden equipment. Mid-April's busy spring crowd makes it a prime moment to spot gems before the competition of the great summer brocantes.
Funds raised support Les Blouses Roses 82, whose 23 volunteers help hospitalised children at Montauban hospital and EHPAD residents through 13 facilities. Refreshments and food run by volunteers all day. Use your visit to discover the picturesque Villebourbon district along the Tarn, a few minutes' walk from Place Nationale and Montauban's historic centre.
